What if I told you that the woman behind this boutique once looked around a 140-acre farm and thought, “How did I end up here?!”

Hi, I’m Sharon, the woman behind Greenhouse Collective Nabiac, NSW, and now our online Collective Store.

If you’d told the younger, very much city-girl version of me that one day I’d own a farm, a little country café and a boutique in Nabiac, I would have laughed and said, “No, no… You've got the wrong girl!”

Life has a funny way of taking us places we never planned.

I grew up in Sydney and spent 19 fabulous years flying with Qantas before working in travel and tourism. Somehow, I eventually found myself the rather surprised owner of 140 beautiful acres in the Manning Valley.

It was quite a leap from city life, but that farm eventually led me to food, community and our beautiful little Greenhouse Café in Nabiac, NSW. I discovered how much I loved creating a place where people could walk through the door and simply feel welcome.

Then COVID arrived.

With restrictions limiting the number of people we could have inside the café, we moved the retail side of the business into the little shop next door.

And Greenhouse Collective Nabiac was born.

From the beginning, I wanted it to feel beautiful, considered and a little bit special. And goodness, did people embrace it! Things sold so quickly that, at times, I was bringing furniture and beautiful pieces in from the farm just to fill the spaces left behind.

It was slightly mad, completely unexpected and an enormous amount of fun.

And somehow, here we are… six years later.

For five of those years I’ve talked about taking the Collective online. I’ve planned it, postponed it and probably talked myself out of it many times.

But now I can finally say… It’s happening!

Because sometimes you just have to reinvent yourself at 40, 50, 60 and beyond.

I’m Mum to three beautiful adult daughters and “Glam~ma” to two very sweet granddaughters. At heart, I’m still that city girl who loves beautiful clothes, travel, good coffee, art, laughter and finding something a little unexpected.

Somewhere along the way, I also fell in love with country communities and creating a place where women feel genuinely welcome.

And I still love discovering beautiful things and sharing them with people.

That’s really what Greenhouse Collective has always been about for me: beautiful things, good people and having a little fun along the way.
